NAC is currently seeking a Corporate Recruiter/ HR Coordinator to join our head office team in Morriston, ON.

Position Summary:


As a key member of the HR team, the Recruiter/Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HR department for all facets of recruiting and providing assistance to the Human Resources functions.

The Recruiter/Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent by developing and executing recruiting plans, networking through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees, coordinating/implementing recruiting initiatives, maintaining our HR policies and programs, coordinating and facilitating the onboarding experience, as well as supporting day to day HR processes.

The HR Recruiter/Coordinator acts as a brand ambassador at NAC and is a champion of our company values.


General Responsibilities:


  • Confers with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Contact applicants to inform them of the status of their employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in the organization.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process and conduct orientations to ensure seamless onboarding experiences for new team members.
  • Participate in developing, recommending, and implementing HR policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist with various HR initiatives and programs as required.
  • Employee interface for salaried pension and benefits (enrollment changes & terminations, communications, inquiries, electronic brochures/forms) and maintain spreadsheet.
  • Support and lead some HR projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute, with a continuous improvement mindset, to the implementation of bestinclass HR practices.

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary degree and/or diploma, with a focus in HR or related field.
  • CHRP designation or in progress is an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant HR experience in a fastpaced environment is required.
  • Advanced skills in MS Outlook, Word and intermediate skills in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, manage competing initiatives, and meet deadlines without compromising quality of work.
  • Dynamic personality that can drive outcomes and build relationships in a collaborative environment.
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
