Reporting to the Director, Sales -Transit, the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is a key member of the Sales Team and is responsible for the sales development and closing strategically viable sales opportunities with net new prospects.

This position is a hunter focusing on gaining New Customers. This position requires an individual with exceptional hunting, relationship, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.

In addition, this high energy individual must be able to work with the leadership team to advance our strategic agenda with clients and achieve quarterly and yearly bookings targets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and execute on net new engagements including prospecting, discovery, and qualifying of target prospects.
  • Drive Net New sales cycles and navigate midsized transit /government organizations and the corresponding RFP processes
  • Present and provide relevant product offering based on facts and an understanding of the prospect's current/future needs
  • Responsible and committed to effectively organize workload to exceed sales funnel expectations and sales metrics
  • Develop strategic account and call plans for all sales opportunities and prospects.
  • Build trusting relationships at the C-Suite level and be able to navigate relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Diligent in follow up and action plans
  • Engage the right internal and external stakeholders for strategic business decisions.
  • Timely proposal response and creative strategy development
  • Must be willing to travel 50%+ of the time, working at prospect sites, industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and workshops.

Key Qualifications

  • Accomplished highenergy salesperson with 5 years of technology and/or software sales experience
  • Focused on
    new sales and consistent achievement of annual and quarterly quotas
  • A background in transit, transportation industry would be preferred, but not imperative, or experience selling to goverments and municipalities.
  • Expert knowledge of complex product selling and/or valuebased selling with a consultative sales approach
  • Applies salesstage methodology to ensure maximum revenue is generated from every opportunity
  • Ability to logically communicate technical information and ideas in a nontechnical manner
  • Ability to successfully communicate and work with client's environment and requirements internally within interfunctional groups
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships and ability to use interpretative skills to understand the prospect's requirements.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and juggle several concurrent projects simultaneously
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent demo and presentation skills remotely and/or to a large group audience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Quick learner, positive attitude, selfmotivated, organized, and innovative
  • Ability to travel, min 50% within North America (must be legally eligible to cross the border)
  • Valid driver's license
