About SPRINT Senior Care:

SPRINT Senior Care began caring for seniors and enabling seniors to care for themselves in 1983. We continue to do so today as an accredited, not-for-profit community support service agency in Toronto by offering a wide range of practical and low-cost services to seniors and their caregivers. Our services help seniors stay safe, connected, and live as independently as possible. They also prevent premature or inappropriate institutionalization.

Position Type:
Bargaining Unit Position; Full-Time, Contract (
Contract Length: 8 Weeks)

Reports To:
Manager, Adult Day Program

Location:
Adult Day Program

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Assist in the planning, implementation, and delivery of department

- activities.

Assist with gentle exercise programs and food security programs,
Assist with virtual programs
Socialize with clients
Helping with setting up, serving and cleaning up for meal and wellness programs
Assist with administrative tasks and projects
Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions
Provide feedback as to how to improve programs and services
Prepare communications and program materials
Maintain and update digital records
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Enrolled in or completed a postsecondary Health, Activation, Recreation, Kinesiology, Social Work, Social Service Worker or Gerontology program.
Experience working with seniors and persons with dementia is an asset.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
