You as Manager, Operations (Electrical) will:

  • Lead the team to attain the Company's strategy, business plan and objectives.
  • Support the development and preparation of annual budget and allocations.
  • Examines the feasibility and profitability of individual contracts and monitors progress and achievements in preestablished reporting periods.
  • Oversees and develops the Electrical Services group though leadership, mentorship, & training while working in conjunction with other Managers and GM
  • Lead continuous improvement, optimization & team / account effectiveness initiatives as a whole.
  • Oversees the initiatives of new developments such as new markets, new service offerings, and new service program offerings.
  • Ensures high levels of human capital by analyzing productivity reports and liaising with direct reports.
  • Oversees decisions to hire, promote, demote and dismiss.
  • Maintains critical relationship with clients, the senior management team, and direct reports.
  • Support CMMS systems optimization, data integrity and results along with staff scheduling
  • Monitors the efforts of direct reports to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensures that decisions and policies are implemented and delivered.
  • Ensures that all financial and nonfinancial reporting requirements are met on a timely and regular basis.
  • Ensures that the best interests of the organization, employees, customers, stakeholders, the law and the public are always a priority.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in Public or Private sector. Preferably with direct field working experience within a red seal trade with 5 or more direct reports
  • Progressive sales and customer service experience
  • Licensed Electrician/ Red Seal Trade certified Journeyperson
  • An individual with broad and applied technical knowledge and cost control of building operations, maintenance, health & safety, and construction management abilities.
  • Familiar with various lighting controls, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management System), EAM (Enterprise Asset Management), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
  • A critical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, draw correct conclusions, and articulate clear and focused directives.
  • Manages competing demands to maintain a healthy balance between work, family and community activities.
  • Experience working with executives providing professional, accurate, and strategic input.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop & maintain positive working relations with Team members (internal/external)
