We are currently hiring for the position of:

TICKET AGENT, BOX OFFICE & CALL CENTRE


The Ticketing Services department is responsible for all ticket sales and seat inventory management through our Festival, Industry, and Venue box offices.

Box Offices and the Call Centre serve nearly everyone who comes to the Festival - including public, industry, press, corporate partners, programmers and staff.

We play a vital role in our visitors' experiences for the Festival.

As a member of our large team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, reinforcing policies and procedures, and handling customer data and concerns in an ethical and confidential manner.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for selling tickets, memberships, redeeming passes and ticket packages.
  • Providing excellent customer service in person and through inbound calls
  • Handling large volume of sales on a regular basis
  • Processing cash, debit and credit card transactions and balancing deposits
  • Operating computerized ticketing systems and ensuring all account data is captured accurately
  • Providing information about all products and services available at TIFF Bell Lightbox
  • Maintaining discretion regarding confidentiality of account information, as per privacy policy
  • Adhering to all ticketing policies and procedures
  • Filling, sorting and organizing Box Office materials
  • Performing some light lifting and other duties, as required

RATE OF PAY:

- $16.75 /Hourly


TARGET CONTRACT DATES:


  • August 8, 2023September 18, 2023

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Customer service experience required
  • Familiarity with Ticketing Systems is an asset; knowledge of Archtics/PCI is preferred
  • Previous experience in a Call Centre or Box Office environment
  • Previous cash handling experience is required; experience handling sales of all types (credit, debit, gift cards)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English)
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, selfmotivated, open to working in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure while balancing multiple priorities
  • High level of computer literacy. Comfortable operating multiple computer based systems simultaneously
  • Some light lifting may be required (ticket stock boxes, marketing materials, etc.)
  • Able to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to attend all training sessions (Training session schedule TBC).
  • Must be able to work full time, without conflicts, between September 17, 2023
