We are looking for an Intranet Content Strategist


As an
Intranet Content Strategist, you will be responsible for the development of a revamped SharePoint based intranet site, including establishing its governance, content management, roadmap, implementation and day-to-day operations, management, and support.

You will provide advice and guidance and collaborate with staff organization-wide to assess their needs, plan, create, publish, and maintain digital content that supports the Museum's internal communications strategy.

You will also guide the planning, development and delivery of training and information sessions for the organization and support the administrators and users.

You will also create design standards, content guidelines, editorial calendars, and other tools to establish an integrated approach to producing intranet content, while also ensuring that all content posted is compliant with the Accessible Canada Act and the Official Languages Act, as well as other relevant acts.


What we are looking for:

  • Strong capacity for planning, teamwork and collaboration.

Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant experience in:

  • Digital content management, publication and creation for an intranet, website, blog, app or similar digital product or platform;
  • Working with web content management systems;
  • Preparing, monitoring and overseeing project schedules and calendars;
  • Liaising with and coordinating the work of external suppliers, such as web developers, designers and content creators;
  • Internal consultation and collaboration.

Knowledge of:


  • The digital content lifecycle, including strategy, planning, creation, maintenance, and auditing;
  • Project management processes and practices for digital projects and initiatives;
  • Best practices in writing, editing and designing audiencecentric content for the web and social platforms;
  • Principles of usability, user experience, accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion;
  • Data analytics and metrics.

Education:

Post-secondary education in field(s) relevant to the duties of the position, including Communications, Multimedia and Design, Information Management, or Project Management, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in a creative services environment.


Compensation:
$71,173 to $88,080
