Building operator

Les Galeries de La Capitale
Quebec city

Regular, full-time position


Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the holder of this position ensures the maintenance of Les Galeries de La Capitale buildings.

Responsible for daily operations of HVAC equipment, maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and all operational aspects at Les Galeries de La Capitale.

The incumbent will ensure the maintenance and improvement of practices currently in place.


As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Manage the operation of intelligent building systems. (Smart Building) Computerized systems for energy control, communication, electricity consumption, etc.
Ensure preventative maintenance, including updating the Angus system and mechanical maintenance.

Respond to incoming requests regarding outages and take necessary actions to correct the situation within the scope of his responsibilities.

Manage service calls as established by our standards
Maintain daily logs and inspections.
Detect and resolve irregularities and malfunctions.
Carry out machine maintenance work.
Repair or replace defective parts, assist service providers.

Carry out minor repairs to plumbing, mechanical and electrical, roofing, doors and hardware, carpentry and interior systems, floors and ceramics, painting, paving and signage, mechanical and hydraulic, masonry, work at height and in confined spaces, etc.


Requirements:

Available every other week for on-call service and available for emergency work (if necessary, day, evening, night, weekend)

Have certification related to buildings e

g:

a BES 11/1/SMT/SMA, MMF or technical designation or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of relevant experience, experience in a commercial environment is an asset
Have a good understanding of electrical automation systems
Have excellent verbal communication skills and customer service aptitude.
Be able to prioritize and enjoy working in a team.
Be bilingual, in French and English.
Valid driving license (use of service vehicles)
Certification for safe use of nacelle and lifting platform, forklift, would be an asset.
Have leadership, punctual and respectful
