Altex Industries is a fabrication, engineering and service company that specialize in providing heat transfer equipment and service for the oil and gas industry.

We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Equipment Coordinator for the dayshift.

The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for providing Supply Chain solutions to the Field Service and Manufacturing Operations to ensure a constant and accurate supply of materials and equipment, in accordance with Altex SOPs, Municipal, Provincial and Federal Government rules, regulations and legislation, while maintaining a service-oriented attitude towards all company departments.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all documents and reports with Vendors, Clients, Shared Services, Field Service, and Manufacturing Operations.
Coordination of all material and equipment quality inspections and testing
Coordination of all materials and equipment movement between internal and external locations
Coordination of planning and scheduling for material and equipment
Confirm accuracy of all material and equipment documents and reports
Coordination of system recording, physical cycle counts and daily inputs to maintain accurate inventory
Maintain accurate record keeping and document control as required by various Government agencies and company policies
Maintain flow of inventory that guarantees optimum stock levels that meet manufacturing or field service goals
Perform inventory cycle counts on an ongoing basis and maintain accurate stock levels based on supply, demand and sales trends
Maintain awareness of internal and external factors and assist in the event of shortages, overages or delayed deliveries to minimize impact on manufacturing or field service
Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

2 years of experience in as an Equipment Coordinator
High school diploma
Forklift (standup) Operator certification; Telehandler Certificate, operate pallet jacks, small hand and power tools, banding/wrapping equipment
Logistics, transportation, equipment, inventory control experiences an asset; equipment and machinery experience
Strong computer skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problemsolving and strong organization skills required
Work conditions and physical capabilities tight deadlines, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive tasks

Weight Handling

Up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm (40 hours/week)

Wage:
$26.73/hr.

Pay:
$24.49-$26.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
