**Quality Assurance Technician

We are looking for the right Quality Assurance Technician, one who is a Partners' team member responsible and accountable for conducting quality assurance inspections and holding trades to the Partners standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for personally inspecting and evaluating all quality concerns before and after the homeowner quality assurance walk.

You will be responsible for providing solutions and ensuring all pre-occupancy related quality concerns are completed in accordance with our policies and guidelines.

You may also share responsibility for assisting our site construction team with miscellaneous tasks during slower periods of construction.

Your Key Deliverables

  • Using provided technology and apps, manage communications with trades in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Along with coordinate, educate and answer all inquiries received from homeowners regarding the quality assurance walk through.
  • Use common sense and relevant diagnostic tools along with substantial construction expertise, to identify and resolve complex issues within a home.
  • Conduct thorough home inspections with homeowner or designate, as required.
  • Perform any construction service required for small deficiencies such as drywall/paint touch ups, baseboard/casing adjustments, etc.
  • Manage all inspection documentation according to company's process.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of key service metrics to the Superintendent, in writing.
  • Communicate internally with Superintendent as required.
  • Clearly communicate the outcomes and actions of quality inspections to clients at key turnover.
  • Coordinate walk through schedules with Coordinator, using required software portal.
  • Provide instructions to trades using required software portal.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standards, policies, and procedures regarding quality assurance.
  • Provide feedback and solutions on repetitive customer care concerns, recommend improvements to products / practices.
  • Regularly provide feedback on the effectiveness of the quality assurance department's procedures.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years residential construction or renovation experience, with possible tools of the trade.
  • Progressive customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a 3year clean driver's abstract.
  • Proficient computer skills, comfortable with technology and computer equipment, having inspection software experience is an asset (Punchlist).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
