Under the direction of the General Manager of People, Culture and Leadership, the HR Systems Team Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the HR Systems division; oversees the Board's HR Information System, including salary, benefits, and leave administration activities for OCDSB employees; supervises division staff; ensures data integrity through audit functions; establishes schedules and processes to meet payroll deadlines; provides technical support, advice and training on _ApplyToEducation_ (ATE), including applicant tracking, assignment call-out system, and absence management; and acts as a technical resource for collective bargaining and staffing processes.
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or a related field, as well as 5 to 6 years working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- A CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset;
- Managerial skills for hiring, supervising and evaluating staff; as well as leadership competencies for coaching, mentoring, and motivating teams;
- Knowledge of and experience in human resources administration, principles, practices and techniques as they relate to an educational and multiunion environment;
- Knowledge of payroll administration to ensure integrity of human resources data on integrated systems.
- Knowledge of and experience in salary, benefits, and leave administration in a large organization and unionized environment;
- Excellent communication skills are required in order to provide and/or clarify pertinent information to others and must demonstrate interpersonal qualities to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Oral communication skills for making presentations, in a large or small group setting;
- Writing skills for preparing training materials and for report writing;
- Organizational skills, as well as time management techniques for organizing, planning and implementing projects/systems, juggling multiple demands and working within short and conflicting deadlines;
- Excellent use of judgment for decisionmaking and problem resolution.
- High degree of discretion and tact when dealing with confidential and sensitive personal information and a commitment to staff privacy;
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and team building;
- Analytical skills, including attention to detail, accuracy and correctness;
- Project management skills for prioritizing and planning year end projects;

Salary:
$101,300.00-$119,200.00 per year
