Position Summary:

The task associated with this position:

  • Provide intellectual input, establish research methods, design protocol, advance research, and break new ground.
  • Troubleshoot research issues, resolve conceptual problems in experimental design and generate hypotheses.
  • Review and evaluate research findings, prepare reports and manuscripts
  • Disseminate research results at scientific meetings and in peer-reviewed scientific publications
  • Represent lab/department and make presentations at internal and external meetings and/or conferences
  • Assist with supervision of graduate students.

  • Must have worked as a PDF in Dr. Ortega's lab_
  • Must have the ne_
- cessary skills and experience to identify the precise function of the essential GTPase YsxC in the assembly of the 50S subunit using cryo-electron microscopy and structural approaches._
