What you will do:


Reporting to the Director, CIHW, the incumbent is responsible for project coordination, project support, data collection and data management while working with CIHW on projects that support scholarly and grant writing activities.

This role will provide support for CIHW in developing protocols, processes, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including focus groups, semi-structured interviews, data analysis and data report writing.

Through this work, the Research Administrator will support coordination and evaluation of the projects and facilitate the dissemination of scholarly work.

These activities will facilitate dialogue and linkages within and outside the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness to promote collaborative scholarship.


Key Duties:

  • Assists the Director in setting and managing the budgets allocated to specific research projects;
  • Collect and maintain primary and secondary data from study participants.
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize data using a range of tools (e.g., SPSS, AMOS, Excel, NVivo, Tableau);
  • Present information in reports, graphs, dashboards, and other media for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Responsible for the storage and maintenance of confidential research data (required by REB).

Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the role

Education:

A minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree (Masters Preferred) in a
health-related discipline is required.


Experience & Skills

  • Managing and coordinating projects, processes, and people
  • Supervising a work group, assigning work to be done, and methods to be used
  • Developing and identifying appropriate and analytical methodologies for performing analysis of projects.
  • Determining and/or advising on the most appropriate analytical approaches and data sources to use of each analysis project.
  • Developing and advising on the presentation of the analysis and/or report so that the findings are easily understood and conveyed.
