- Perform as the overall Lead for all Pursuit and Design Development activities related to the Technology (ICAT) Scope of Work on assigned Projects including large construction and Alternate Financing & Procurement projects.
- Facilitate and lead User Group Meetings and Design Workshops with Clients, Contractors, and Sub-Consultants for all related Technology Systems to design and develop technology solutions that meet the contractual obligations of each project.
- In coordination with Technical Engineers, review and interpret all tendered Technical Specifications; including System Performance Specifications, Drawings and Room Data Sheets.
- Lead an integrated team of Technical Engineers and Estimators to facilitate the overall estimating process and develop competitive Project Cost Estimates and Technical Designs.
- Take a "hands-on" approach to building out design specifications, estimates and drawing reviews.
- Responsible for risk management for all Technology systems during pursuit and design development stages. Define, identify and track potential risks within the project; monitor and manage identified risks through regular reporting.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to gather information, clarify specifications and lead meetings and presentations with clients and partners.
- Work within an integrated multi-discipline group in both estimating and operations to ensure efficiencies are realized to offer the best value in pricing and maximum profit.
- Work with design teams to ensure the design not only match the specifications but are also focused on an efficient design with cost control at the forefront.
- Identify partnerships and efficiencies within the Pursuits process to support Plan Group as the vendor of choice.
- Work with manufacturers and service providers to obtain quotations to meet customer technical and performance specifications.
- Work with Contractors, Consultants and Sub-Contractors to maintain the schedule and budget of Technology/IMIT scopes through analysis of design solutions.
- Participate in the validation of Pursuit and Design Development activities throughout the Pursuit, Design Development, Construction and Commissioning phases of each project.
- Develop procedures and working practices for effective communication and increased efficiency in Pursuit, Design Development, Budgeting/Estimation and Risk Analysis.
- Contribute to the Business Development of Technology related opportunities for Plan Group including attending seminars, trade shows and client sponsored events as required.
- You have a minimum of 5 years' technology consulting and/or Technology/IMIT construction industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction / design related field
- Working knowledge of various Technology Systems and Communications Infrastructure such as Structured Cabling, Data Networks, Wireless Networking, Tracking Systems (RTLS), Audio Visual Systems, Nurse Call, Public Address, Voice/Telephony Communications and Distributed Antenna Systems.
- Experience and knowledge of building operating systems such as Building Automation Systems and Facility Security (CCTV, Access Control, Duress) considered an asset.
- Understanding of Smart Building Technologies including System Integration and Interoperability is considered a very valuable asset.
- Experience and knowledge in project budget development and financial management.
- Experience in Public Private Partnerships (P3) and Alternate Financing Procurement Projects considered a key asset.

We are looking for a Pre-Construction Lead (Technology) to join our Technology Pre-Construction Team The focus of this role is to perform as a lead for the Technology business group within an integrated multi-disciplinary team to manage the Pursuit and Design Development processes for all associated Technology scopes for assigned large scale projects. This is a team-oriented effort working with multi discipline groups in both estimation and operations, managing the deliverables schedule, and meeting key submissions for a variety of healthcare, educational, institutional facilities and more.
