Position Summary
This Analyst will play a key role in the design of the end-to-end global supply chain. This role will support global and multi-regional projects that enable successful operations across McCain's global supply chain.

"Successful Operations" can be defined by various measures, including capacity balancing, customer relationships, efficient processes, and a sustainable cost advantage.

The Analyst will use exceptional analytical skills to deliver high-quality results, while simultaneously using industry best practices to build sustainable and repeatable processes that will aid efforts in data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics.


The Team
McCain's Global Supply Chain team is responsible for setting up the extended Supply Chain organization for success. The team focuses on enabling strong business performance by leveraging McCain's global footprint as a competitive advantage.

We partner with our Regional Supply Chains to evaluate the global flow of goods, establish core operating processes, and strengthen organizational capabilities.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Evaluate strategic opportunities to optimize the global supply chain network, including manufacturing, distribution, inventory, customer service, and capital spend
  • Maintain supply chain optimization models using approaches that include linear and nonlinear programming, heuristics, and network flow algorithms
  • Extract, consolidate, and validate all critical data inputs
  • Develop business processes and tools used to streamline data collection, management and refresh activities used to ensure the highest level of data integrity
  • Identify and leverage proxy data sources used to supplement and/or complement existing data
  • Incorporate complex and everchanging business policies and constraints into models
  • Translate new requirements to development team and manage as appropriate
  • Assess future manufacturing and distribution network capacity requirements and make recommendations to support business growth
  • Translate model results into executable production, distribution, and capital recommendations
  • Drive continuous improvement across global and regional Supply Chain processes and tools

What You Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, mathematical modeling, analytics, or strategic network planning in a complex manufacturing and distribution environment
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amount of data, models, and results using Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL, and other related tools
  • Ability to convert functional requirements to technical requirements for the development team
  • Passion for challenging the status quo
  • Ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis
  • Passion for creating innovative approaches to solve abstract business problems
  • Ability to infer realistic business and supply chain implications from data and model results
  • A bias towards decisive action
