  • As a Collection Contract and Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for management of residential and commercial collection customers. You will promote growth of commercial services through the acquisition of new clients, determine residential and commercial customer eligibility, implement accurate billing, and provide education and enforcement to the public on current and future diversion programs.

Primary duties include:
Implement contracts with new commercial customers.

  • Manage and update contracts and relationships with current customers.
  • Communicate with foreman regarding daily task requirements such as extra collections and site inspections.
  • Troubleshoot collection issues and negotiate terms and locations for collection service with customers and staff.
  • Maintain inventory of containers by monitoring and recording their movement.
  • Determine customer eligibility for residential cartbased collection services using Waste and Recycling Management systems (WWRSM), Public One Stop Service Experience (POSSE), and Development and Building Approvals data.
  • Direct others for solution advancement regarding future service refusals.
  • Ensure billing information in ENMAX and City systems are aligned for accuracy.
  • Create monthly invoices for customers.
  • Liaise with ENMAX to resolve customer billing issues to prevent customer escalations from occurring.
  • Develop strategies based on Waste and Recycling Services objectives to maintain and update business practices.

Qualifications

  • A completed 2year certificate or diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, or Accounting and at least 3 years of waste and recycling or related utility experience; OR
  • A degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline and at least 1 year of waste and recycling, utility, or billing and customer service experience.
  • Previous experience with asset management systems, such as Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), 311 and contract management and quotes, will be considered an asset.
  • Welldeveloped communication skills, a strong customer orientation, the ability to grasp issues and resolve problems, strong analytical skills, and a high attention to detail are essential to this role.

  • Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $ per hour
  • Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
