ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the IMS Lead, the Training Specialist is responsible for
supporting the development, implementation, and continual improvement
of the training program for NexGen's Rook I Project (Project).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
( INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Support the fit-for-purpose implementation of the Rook I Training
Program within a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) framework.
Assist in the development and implementation of Training Program
processes, documentation, and training, ensuring alignment and
conformance with regulatory requirements and applicable frameworks
and standards.
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand end user needs and
training requirements.
Support the analysis, design, development, piloting, and delivering of
training courses to meet Project
- and site-specific needs.
Provide support and oversight for the scheduling and monitoring of
training sessions for site personnel.
Assess effectiveness of training, and monitor quality results of training
provided.

Coordinate and support the evaluation and implementation of Learning
Management System (LMS) needs for the Project.

Provide support and reporting for training-related key performance
indicators.
Participate in internal auditing activities as required and support the
Project with additional monitoring and measurement activities as
assigned.
Drive continual improvement efforts affecting the Rook I Training
Program.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or combination of education and
relevant experience.
Certificate in Adult Education is a strong asset.
Minimum 2 years of direct experience in training design, delivery, and
assessment.
Experience and familiarity with a range of learning development and
support systems, including adult learning principles.
Experience in a regulated nuclear environment is highly preferred.
Experience in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., mining, mineral, oil
and gas or chemical processing) or high value manufacturing (e.g.,
aerospace, automotive) is preferred.
Experience with initiating and implementation of LMS software is
preferred.
Strong digital literacy using the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and SAP
software.
