Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with
High Complex developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
-MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH NEEDS & HIGH AGGRESSION INDIVIDUALS:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Must have a diploma or degree in developmental services, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 23 years of experience working as a Developmental Support Worker, with a focus on high needs and high aggression individuals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmental disabilities, behavior management strategies, and personcentered planning principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between client locations.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Pay:
$23.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
