Our products are plant-based nutrition sourced from around the world such as beans, lentils, rice, and quinoa to name a few that ships from either of our 2 (Bolton, ON and Calgary, AB) manufacturing facilities and proudly lands on consumer plates.


The Role:

At Agrocrop Foods, we solve Private Label problems.

We are a talented and growing team who is launching a new operation focused on selling RTE packaged goods across the US & Canada.

We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager that can successfully own and manage all aspects of bringing a new product to life - from development state through to full commercialization.

Your role will be to deliver successful projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment focused on growth and continuous improvement.


Reporting to the Vice President - Commercial Sales, this leader will be a key team member, accountable for the product management of all new commercialized products driven by our rapid growth agenda.

This is for a business unit servicing multiple product categories across a variety of SKU's.

THIS IS A NEW POSITION FOR A NEW DIVISION WITHIN THE BUSINESS AND THERE IS NO WEBSITE UP AS OF YET. THE NEW DIVISION WILL INVOLVE READY TO EAT PRODUCTS OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT VARIATIES. IT WILL ALSO INCLUDE PRODUCTS THAT MAY REQUIRE REFRIDGERATION, THIS IS NOT FOR OUR DRY PACAKAGED GOODS BUSINESS._


The key priorities for this role include:

  • Establish the project plan which determines the project structure & deliverables.
  • Full project mapping and follow through on all commercialized product launches.
  • Working collaboratively and cross departmentally to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Working directly with customer project teams to move milestones forward together.
  • Ensure timely communication of relevant project milestones, risks, issues, decisions as well as recommendations.
  • Managing the process of bringing new food products from the development stage to commercialization.
  • Lead postmortem analysis to ensure project objectives have been met and lessons learned.

How you will make contributions that matter:
The role will require a combination of skillsets though leadership, project management & supply chain/quality coordination.**:

  • Own key milestones in each project launch grid and effectively communicate to team members.
  • Work side by side with R&D to launch and manage the private label product portfolio.
  • Effectively ensure multiple cross functional teams are aligned to the project with the ability to get things done through others.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers.
  • Work closely with all supply chain and procurement teams to ensure sourcing raw material and packaging to ensure deliverable timelines.
  • Work closely with quality control to ensure all quality measures are documented for first production runs and throughout the commercialization process, including sensory evaluation and shelflife studies as per each customer requirement.

Qualification:


  • Bachelor's degree in food science, business, or project management
  • 5+ year experience in managing projects from approved product through full commercialization process.
  • Food Manufacturing experience is critical.
  • Ability to independently lead and coordinate multilocational projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills with a highly collaborative approach.
  • Experience with commercialization for 5+ years in CPG is required.
