Title:
Data Analyst, Medical Transportation


Salary:
$63,036 - $78,849 - $86,734 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:
Term until March 31, 2025

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm / 8:30am-4:30pm / 9am-5pm)

Location:

Alberni Street, Vancouver (On-site with a possiblity of hybrid working in line with FNHA's flex work policy after the 6 month probationary period).


About the role

The Data Analyst, Medical Transportation role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to FNHA's mission to support BC First Nations individuals, families and communities to achieve and enjoy the highest level of health and wellness.

In this role, you will support data entry, analysis and reconciliation of community-based medical transportation reporting to reconcile data quality and compliance issues and create reports to help engage community partners in understanding reporting issues to enable a more thorough review of medical transportation program policy compliance.

This role collaborate with FNHA teams and agreement holders to identify patterns of access and provide a comprehensive picture of provincial travel with communities and our regions.


About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 35 years of significant, recent and relevant experience in analytical work, preferably in healthcare
  • Experience working with First Nations communities
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office productivity software, with a focus on Excel
  • Experience in analytical work involving financial and operational reporting data, preferably in healthcare
  • Knowledge of First Nations community issues
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to assess health programs and services
You may have experience in;

  • Experience with Excelbased tools such as SQL, Macros and/or Visual Basic is an asset
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures and process documentation is an asset
  • Knowledge of health related programs and services within First Nations communities; of historical and current culture of BC First Nations political structures and health environment; and of the FNHA Health Benefits program is an asset

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.


The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
