Currently, we are looking for a dynamic, impactful, and adaptable individual to join RSL's People and Culture team as the People and Culture Generalist.

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The People and Culture Generalist will play a crucial role in assisting business leaders in implementing best practices in talent management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and retention, total rewards, and employee relations.

    The People and Culture Generalist will report to the Manager of People and Culture and collaborate closely with the Office Administrator and the Payroll Administrator.

    Please note that this position will be located at RSL's headquarters in South Burnaby, with limited remote work options.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Manager, People and Culture in developing and implementing effective people management strategies
    • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition and ensure a positive candidate experience
    • Manage the exit process and conduct exit interviews as needed
    • Lead employer branding strategies for recruitment and talent attraction
    • Coordinate and conduct various training programs to enhance employee performance
    • Maintain visibility and engagement with employees at all levels and locations
    • Manage People and Culture content both internally and externally
    • Collect and act on employee feedback from various sources
    • Analyze organizational data, identify trends, and propose solutions
    • Liaise with the payroll administrator and serve as the primary employee contact
    • Provide reception relief and support when required
    • Participate in special project teams as necessary
    • Perform other assigned duties

    KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
    • CPHR designation is preferred
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Experience

      • Proficiency in HR management information systems
      • Minimum of three to five years of progressive People and Culture experience
      • Strong talent acquisition background
      • Excellent relationship management and analytical skills
      • Previous experience in a family-owned business is a bonus
      • Outstanding communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork abilities
      • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
      • Thorough knowledge of employment and human rights legislation
      • Comfortable with multitasking
