About the Opportunity:

The IM/IT Lead performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Functionally oversees the day-to-day operations for the multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Oversees project work for the teams responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of initiatives and programs throughout the province.
  • Coordinates resources, manages timelines and milestones.
  • Monitors, summarizes and communicates the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members.
  • Ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by the NSH IM/IT business plan, established policies/procedures, and in line with service level agreements between NSH, IWK and the department of health.

About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Information systems or health related field. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in Clinical Application implementation and previous experience leading teams preferred.
  • Experience with programs including but not limited to Meditech ADM, B/AR and CWS modules, STAR, Optio and the registration kiosks, would be considered an asset.
  • Strong technical knowledge related to mobile device management, iPad devices and WIFI networks would be considered an asset.
  • Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of healthcare industry required; familiarity with clinical and administrative hospital functions and departments preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Experience in data analytics an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
  • Clearly communicates NSH vision, mission and values

  • Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Visio and MS Power-Point
