The Opportunity:
A full-time Professor of Aviation to provide instruction to Aviation students at the College level.

In addition to supporting flight instruction from ab initio to the multi-engine instrument rating level, the incumbent will be responsible for curriculum development, teaching assigned courses, and the provision of academic leadership.

We are looking to bring the knowledge gained from experience as a Professional pilot in turbo-prop and jet flights for passenger and cargo in charter or scheduled operations to our students.


What you need to be successful:

  • an Aviation, Technical or Business Baccalaureate Degree
- post-graduate Degree considered an asset

  • 2 years' experience as flight crew for 604, 703, 704 or 705 operations
- an Airline Transport Pilot License
- a valid Group 1 Instrument Rating, and at least 500 hours as Pilot in Command of multiengine aircraft
- a valid Class 1 Aeroplane Flight Instructor Rating with at least 1,000 hours of instructing experience preferred or experience as training captain for a commercial flight operation would be an asset
- operational multi-crew experience would be an important asset
- a College Aviation Diploma and/or other teaching credentials or experience considered assets
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- demonstrated excellent flying skills
- knowledge of business productivity software, documentation, spreadsheet and database software packages


Sault College provides an attractive total compensation package, encompassing competitive wages/salaries, a defined benefit pension plan, group insurance benefits, and a variety of employee perks.

This is a full-time academic bargaining unit position. Salary range is $73,079 to $126,689 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
