Overview:
The Instructor provides an enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods. By maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment, the Instructor helps ensure that students are progressing effectively.
The administration of assignments, tests, projects and exams will help students stay engaged and provide the Instructor with an accurate gauge of student success.
The Instructor works under the guidance and supervision of the Department of Academic Affairs at the College.
The teaching position requires instructor's to deliver courses in a 3 hour time span offered during the day, in the evenings, and some courses on Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and or laboratory format based on the approved curricula
- Implement and manage company policies and procedures such as attendance, grade
materials on a timely basis
- Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests,
- Plan, and prepare weekly 3 hour lectures based on required teaching plans and
per semester given by the Department of Academic Affairs at the College.
- Create and prepare assignments, tests/quizzes, midterms, and final exams for
Qualifications:
- This position requires a completed ECE program Diploma and license. Bachelor or
- Preferred two years teaching experience in a postsecondary Diploma level program.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working with children and families; experience in Early Learning and Care Settings, and/or School Age to Infant and Toddler is required.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the postsecondary level;
- Strong network of contacts with other professionals, organizations and employers;
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrable ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning and must have previous learning
Compensation:
Commensurate on experience.
