Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
permanent full-time Audiologist to join our team in
Oshawa, ON. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with hearing and balance disorders.


Duties:


  • Perform comprehensive audiological evaluations, including puretone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry
  • Conduct specialized tests such as otoacoustic emissions (OAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR)
  • Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including fitting and programming hearing aids and other assistive devices
  • Provide counseling and education to patients regarding their hearing loss, communication strategies, and available treatment options
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
  • Stay uptodate with advancements in audiology research and technology

Experience:


  • Master's degree in audiology from an accredited program
  • 1+ year of experience is preferred, however, new grads will be given consideration
  • Knowledge of audiological assessment techniques and equipment
  • Proficient in medical terminology related to audiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
