Work collaboratively with your leadership team to design and execute strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage and solve valuable problems for your customers.

Anticipate, appreciate, and respond to academic, pharmaceutical and biopharma drug discovery and translational research customer needs.

  • Global P&L responsibility for a $350M business with high growth profile. Responsibility includes the design, manufacture, and distribution of multiple products and services globally in multiple market segments. Must have strategic insights to competitively differentiate and drive share gain growth.
  • Lead growth of the company through planning and executing aggressive organic and inorganic strategies. Be intimate with customer needs. Identify new business opportunities to expand the Phenomenex business across new products, services, and Go-ToMarket approaches.
  • Design and execute strategy from determining what differentiates company products and services in the market to mapping the organization to that strategy, with a particular emphasis on how that strategy creates sustainable competitive advantage and solve valuable problems for customers.
  • Be accountable for product quality and drive compliance to and improvements in the Quality Management System.
  • Meet core set of KPIs including core growth, operating margin expansion, working capital turns (WC), ontime delivery (OTD), quality, customer satisfaction, and associate care and safety.
  • Learn and leverage the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to build sustainable operational, commercial and strategic culture.
  • Be accountable for advancing the Phenomenex journey to strengthen high engagement as well as a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Have and/or develop domain expertise in life sciences research.
  • Build a psychologically safe environment, have the courage to uncover facts and speak transparently.

Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Danaher Group Executive for the
Life Sciences Innovations Group, the Phenomenex
President will be responsible for the following:

  • Day-to-day management and leadership of the Phenomenex Operating Company
  • Primary participant in the company's strategic planning process; create and own strategy for this business.
  • Primary driver of goals in alignment with strategy and execution of those goals.
  • Manage and deliver a full P&L revenue, GM, operating profit, net income (Sales, Mktg, Product, Services, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, & support functions)
  • Deliver core growth acceleration materially above the market; drive optimal and advanced digital solutions to ensure Phenomenex maintains a leadership position; partner across Danaher Life Sciences operating companies leverage crossopco innovation tools.
  • Lead, build, develop, retain a team of top talent throughout the organization.
  • Authentic leadership style to drive Phenomenex culture with a continued focus on team building, engagement, diversity and inclusion
  • DBS Leadership to enable Phenomenex DBS culture and implement the necessary structure to continue the growth and innovation journey
  • M&A and Open Innovation (OI) experience: Ability to execute inorganic strategy including cultivation, diligence and transitions.
  • Travel 50%
