In-Scope


GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department.

In this role, you will provide frontline support to customers by explaining process and procedures as set out by SGI's medical policy.

In addition, you will review and attach all incoming mail to the driver's file and be responsible for processing returned mail and surrendered licences.

You will also complete driver letters using system templates as well as complete invoices and audit physician payments.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receives all incoming mail and performs initial checks for right customer and right document per requirements.
  • Scans and attaches medical documents to driver's file and ensures documents are placed in correct work list.
  • Answers customer inquiries, determines customer needs, and provides information on medical review process and procedures.
  • Provides extensions on medical requirement due dates.
  • Receives notifications from Medical Program Officer and Medical Program Administrator, completes letters using standard system templates, and keys any changes required to the driver's file.
  • Completes audit of physician invoices for medical payment provided by Sask Health; if billing is incorrect, sends letter to physician for payment.
  • Reviews and prepares invoices for physicians who cannot bill through Sask Health.
  • Provides information and/or answers related questions from internal and/or external persons based on departmental procedures.
  • Performs departmental administrative functions.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Knowledge of
coding (i.e., using simple codes accurately).
  • Knowledge of
the automated systems utilized by the Auto Fund.- Skill in telephone etiquette (i.e., answering phones, handling the call, listening, professionalism, and terminology).- Skill in completing forms accurately, reconciling financial information, and proofreading documents for accuracy.- Skill in using Microsoft Products (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of
Canadian Medical Association (CMA) guidelines and Canadian Council for Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) medical standards.
  • Knowledge of
Saskatchewan Medical Association physician fee schedule.- _The Traffic Safety Act_,
- _The Automobile Accident Insurance Act_, the driver section of
- _The Criminal Code of Canada_, and other legislation and regulations as related to the administration of driver records, requirements, and programs.
  • Knowledge of
- _The Health Information Protection Act_.
  • Knowledge of
Auto Fund driver classifications, requirements, sanctions, and programs.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS- Grade 12/GED.

EXPERIENCE- 6 months' - 1 year's related experienced in areas such as medical office, insurance, or customer service.

Pay Range:
$47, $56,244.00
