The successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in applied labour economics, is expected to be actively involved in the daily life of the Department, and will conduct independent research related to productivity, broadly defined.

The Productivity Partnership ) is partially funding this position. Prior experience with the analysis of microdata related to productivity, especially firm or workplace data, would be an asset.

This Postdoctoral Fellowship carries a full-time salary of $57,000 per annum and a $10,000 stipend for teaching. The fellow's total income will, therefore, be $67,000. The incumbent will be expected to teach one 3-unit graduate course in labour economics. In addition, the Economics Department will provide up to $8,000 to cover research expenses. These may include, for example, computer hardware and software, technical books and journals and travel to conferences.
