Description

We are looking for an Exhibition Project Manager
As an
Exhibitions Project Manager, you are responsible for leading the project management aspects of the process of developing museum exhibitions (i.e. temporary, travelling and permanent exhibitions) and/or other cultural products, with various multidisciplinary teams.

You will ensure that all financial management aspects meet operational requirements; ensure that project objectives are met and that project teams comply with the Museum's strategic and operational requirements, project management best practices, and museological standards for multiple simultaneous projects.

You will act as the main contact for needs related to the maintenance and operation of permanent and temporary galleries for the Museum's.

  • Bilingual (French and English).

Relevant experience in:


  • Project coordination or project management (minimum of 3 years)
  • Managing multiple and simultaneous exhibitions and/or cultural products (museum exhibitions, installations, cultural events, etc.)
  • Preparing, monitoring and overseeing budgets and project schedules;
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative assessments, including of overall project performance and risk management.
  • Managing the activities of multidisciplinary project teams in the development, implementation, monitoring and closing of projects.
  • Advising, participating, negotiating and launching various contracts;
  • Preparing and delivering reports and presentations.

Knowledge of:


  • Project management processes and practices;
  • Methods related to the development of cultural projects;
  • Principles of risk management
  • Policies and procedures for public sector procurement
  • MSOffice Suite, MS Project
  • General museology principles

Education:

Diploma in project management or a related field in social sciences, museology OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that could include event management and planning, exhibition design, cultural projects, etc.

A project management certification (such as PMP) is an
asset.

Compensation:
E6 - $71,173 to $88,080 (under review)

Status: 2 Permanent Full-Time Positions (# , #10222, and inventory.)
