    The Funding Representative plays a crucial role in verifying and validating information from approved loan applications before funds are released to automotive dealerships.

    The Funding Representative is instrumental in the success of the Scotia Dealer Advantage Funding department in Canada, ensuring that individual goals and initiatives are met to support the team's business objectives. Compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures is paramount.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Verify the accuracy and validity of Conditional Sale Agreements and Loan Agreements for approved Indirect Loans.
    • Address any discrepancies by liaising with Credit Analysts and dealers for corrections.
    • Escalate any exceptional funding situations to the leadership for resolution.
    • Promote a customer-centric culture to enhance client relationships and leverage wider Bank resources and knowledge.
    • Understand and incorporate the Bank's risk appetite and culture into daily activities and decisions.
    • Ensure operational efficiency while maintaining effective business controls to meet obligations relating to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
    • Foster a high-performance environment and implement strategies for talent attraction, retention, and development.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across various systems.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation review.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with customers professionally.
    • Previous customer-facing experience, preferably over the phone.
    • Post-secondary education completion preferred.
    • Prior administrative and document management experience would be beneficial.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Standard office-based environment at our Anjou office.
    • Operational hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am - 8:00pm EST and Saturday 10am-6pm EST.

    Proficiency in English & French is required to cater to English-speaking clientele, as per Scotiabank's language needs assessment.
