Maintenance Technician - Etobicoke, Canada - PRIME TIME HR
Description
The ideal person will be responsible for carrying out in an effective and safe manner the following tasks:- Identify and solve various problems related to the equipment, such as
pumps, mills and gearboxes: - Be able to switch between morning and evening shifts at short notice
- Be able, at short notice, to work additional (overtime) hours in emergency situations, such as absence of other maintenance staff
- Modify some equipment and/or structures in order to correctly solve problems concerning machinery and equipment
- Be able to read, understand, and produce technical drawings of equipment, pipe systems, etc., as required
- Demonstrate ability to solve various types of maintenance problems in a creative & practical manner
- Carry out above work in an expeditious manner
- Be willing to follow courses in
electric arc welding as may be deemed necessary by the management & thereafter carry out welding as required in the plant within a specified time period
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal communication skills)
- Experience in electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of boiler operations and maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Salary:
$27.00-$30.00 per hour
