Description

The Cummings Centre is looking for an Audio-Visual Support Technician who will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving, technical issues with Audio/Visual (A/V), video-conferencing equipment.

They will provide technical support and training to end-users, as well as install, test, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of A/V components and equipment for our online and simultaneous-hybrid programs.

They will assist in the setup and monitoring of programs and live events to ensure consistency and quality of content being delivered.

Duties

Troubleshoot, and maintain A/V and Video software and equipment.
Familiar with a variety of current A/V concepts, practices, and procedures
Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution using a support ticket system.
Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software.
Play a role in finding A/V solutions as needs change.
Monitors Program and Live Events to ensure quality.
Provides support to Program Managers to assess the scope and technical requirement for programs and events.
Provides staff training for use of Audio/Video software and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Some evening hours required.
13 Years Experience

Education, Knowledge and Skills

Experience in Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) or similar is an asset.
DEC in related field required.
