Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of 30 talented engineers while encouraging collaboration in the workplace.
- Oversee all daytoday activities in development including infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, data governance, data management, systems design, and enterprise architecture.
- Develop a longterm strategic roadmap that supports company goal and objectives.
- Maintain industry leading uptime on critical technology infrastructure through great architectural decisions, effective monitoring, and testing processes.
- Maintain a handson approach to management while implementing best practices and procedures.
- Sharing indepth programming experience and knowledge amongst developers to plan further technology developments for the organization.
- Monitor KPI's and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
- Attend, report, and advise board meetings with managing partners as required.
- Ensure data privacy and system security compliance.
- Work closely with developers, understanding where they are finding success and where they need work.
- Ability to recognize, recruit and develop talent within the organization.
- Effectively communicate strategy to managing partners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of CTO experience with an established organization.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. A graduate degree is an asset.
- Deep handson technical experience with PHP, MySQL, Pearl, AWS, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience leading and managing a team of 25+ employees.
- Strategic mindset and desire to solve business challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written skills while effectively communicating complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing, and resolving complex issues in an effective manner.
- Experience with a startup is an asset.
- Exceptional team management skills.
