OVERVIEW

The Porter will be assisting servers and bartenders with food and beverage duties as assigned by the floor manager to ensure a fast and timely service for both internal and external customers at Parq Vancouver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primarily delivering supplies throughout the second floor of the casino and Salons
Assisting bartenders at Center Bar with stocking the bar
Assisting servers with clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy environment for guests
Ensure the Porter station is stocked, cleaned and organized
Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Maintain a positive work environment
Responsible for providing professional and superior customer service in accordance with established company standards
Greet all guests in a friendly and courteous manner
Perform other jobrelated duties, as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to get along well with others in a team environment
Able to lift a minimum of 25 LBS
Able to stand for long periods of time
Committed to promoting a safe work environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Proven superior customer service experience
Flexible work schedule to accommodate operational needs of a casino environment
Friendly, outgoing and professional
Has a respectful approach and pleasant demeanor
Previous experience in a similar role

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

Ability to obtain a valid GPEB License
Ability to complete all BCLC Certifications
Serving it Right Certification
Food Safe Certificate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
