Your success will be determined by your ability to:

  • Be aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business, including cross-selling services for client activity in other geographies covered by the company.
  • Works closely with the operations team to maintain a continuous knowledge on project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Coordinating maintenance schedule on all equipment to ensure a safe working condition. All routine maintenance is done on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate driver movements, direct drivers, distribute routing, schedule drivers to handle loads, monitor required documentation, crossreference tickets and driver timecards, ensure billing practices are followed and meet customer service requirements.
  • Coordinate and organize Permits, Line lifts and route surveys for overweight & over dimensional loads.
  • Coordinating personnel and equipment for designated projects.
  • Coordinating awarded transportation projects, which includes being the point of contact with client, scheduling and billing.
  • Ensuring that all personnel maintain a "safety comes first" philosophy and supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Answering and directing calls during regular business hours as well as after hours.
  • Ensuring that all jobs are conducted within company and government policies and regulations.
  • Ensuring that all personnel have the required safety courses and certifications.
  • Assist with safety orientations and coordinate training for all new and existing personnel.
  • Liaise with the HS&E and Training division to continually enhance the transportation safety and compliance systems.
  • Maintain the document management processes necessary for ensuring record keeping compliance.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • 13 years' experience in a fastpaced branch/plant site environment carrying out a similar role.
  • Minimum High School Diploma; additional related experience / training an asset.
  • Previous experience with project coordinating, scheduling, or dispatching an asset.
  • Accommodating, personable and comfortable in dealing with a variety of different peers.
  • Must be highly organized / focused and able to handle a full workload while having strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communications abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Team player.
