    Description

    Killam Apartment REIT (TSX:), is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust which owns, manages and develops multi-family residential properties in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Killam is focused on maximizing its value and long-term profitability through increasing earnings, expanding the portfolio through acquisitions, and developing high-quality properties in its core markets.

    We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Commercial Property Administrator to join our office team in Halifax, NS . Reporting to the Commercial Property Manager, this position will oversee administrative duties for The Brewery Market located in downtown Halifax .

    What you will do:


    •Maintain files, produce correspondence, and monitor special projects;


    •Respond to in person, email and telephone inquires;


    •Issue purchase orders, create work orders, and close when complete;


    •Liaise with contractors and other trades;


    •Assist with preparing monthly reports;


    •Maintain tenant courtyard bookings and assist with Killam building site events;


    •Maintain tenant contact information and building memo correspondence;


    •Prepare parking agreements and maintain parking data;


    •Evening and weekend on-call responsibilities;


    •Other administrative reports and duties as assigned.

    Who you are:


    •1-2 years' experience in a similar role;


    •Excellent organizational and multitasking skills;


    •Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word & Excel. Familiarity with Yardi software is considered an asset;


    •A clear understanding of commercial building operation;


    •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, displaying initiative and problem-solving abilities;


    •Previous customer service, accounting and/or collections experience is considered an asset;


    •Experience in the property management industry is preferable.
