Curbside Construction Ltd. has been in business since 1986. Starting mainly as a curb and sidewalk contractor, Curbside has since evolved into a full siteworks and infrastructure contractor.

Curbside has quickly become one of the largest siteworks) contractors in the GTA, with our prime focus in the ICI sector (Industrial Commercial and Institutional).

In recent years, we have completed parking lots on some of the largest distribution centres in Ontario. Curbside manages and constructs all infrastructure involved with building roads and parking lots from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with all aspects of the preconstruction processes
Assist with quantity takeoffs; sourcing of subcontractor and material pricing; review of construction plans and specifications; and final bid submissions.
Assist the project management team with the day to day management of projects such as project scheduling; reviewing of the latest construction drawings and specifications and ensuring our field staff and subcontractors have the latest information; assist in monthly invoicing
Assist site super with construction of projects; assist in tracking of our work forecast versus completed work on an ongoing basis
Complete electronic takeoffs from project plans using computer software ( Quick measure/ blue beam/ Auto cad )
Attend prebid meetings and site visits to review and discuss project requirements
Attend regular site meetings for ongoing projects

Requirements:

Effective communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to interact with staff, vendors, suppliers, field staff and senior management
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Ability to handle multiple duties in a fastpaced environment
Must possess a valid driver's license
OACETT Associate Member would be considered _
as a plus or Degree in civil engineering_
