We have an opportunity for an
Information Security Analyst, level I to join our
IT Team.


Coming with at least two years of experience in Systems administration and Information Security, you will work to enhance our infrastructure and help identify and minimize cyber security threats.

As part of the IT team, you will also utilize your expertise in server/system administration to maintain and update our infrastructure when necessary.

In this role, you will:


  • Work with our incident response team to ensure server/endpoint protection for the following:
  • Look for integrations with current Hardware/Software for better protection
  • React to and investigate Endpoint/Server cyber security alerts
  • Read/Scan Active Directory logs:
  • React to Suspicious activity
  • Continue to fine tune logs to filter out the nonpertinent ones
  • Add/Modify user permissions according to company guidelines (Access Management)
  • Participate in reoccurring internal audits to help determine System strengths/weaknesses
  • Collaborate with creating technical documentation all relevant teams
  • Continuously maintain knowledge of new and emerging technologies that may benefit our data center
  • Assist with employees' Security Awareness training

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Two to five years' experience in enterprise cyber security risk management or in a related role
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Hybrid Azure AD configurations, as well as common Operating Systems such as: Windows (client/server), Linux, and Mac
  • Good understanding of and exposure to security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, antispam, and server and network device hardening
  • Handson experience with security concepts such as MFA, Server Patching, Endpoint/Server Protection, and Access Management
  • Experience with IT service management such as configuration, change and incident management, and Incident Response Life cycle
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problemsolving skills
  • Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell/bash/batch)
  • A background in network monitoring and intrusion prevention as well as backup and disaster recovery principles
  • A good understanding of cyber security frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills. You take pride in providing clear and easy to understand information to all internal stakeholders
  • The ability to work with all kinds of personalities and manage conflicting priorities well in a fastpace environment
  • A solutionfocused approach rooted in consistency and rigorous attention to detail
  • You are open to new challenges and learning opportunities
  • Strong collaborative mindset and a great sense of humor

Bonus points if you:


  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
  • Hold one or several of certifications: Security+, CySA+, CEH, CRIC, CISSP, CISA,
  • Have experience with enterprise network equipment such as routers, firewalls, and switches
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector
This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. This role will require being on-premises 2-3 days per week.
