Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient care
  • Prepare and package medications for distribution
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Enter prescription information into the computer system accurately
  • Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, PioneerRx)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment

Skills:


  • Medication administration: Proficient in preparing and administering medications following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Hospital: Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient care.
  • Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients, address their concerns, and ensure their medication needs are met.

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
