Overview:

Oak View Group Canada's summer internship program is geared towards current or graduate students looking for experience in the sports and entertainment industry with the drive and passion to learn from industry leaders.

Through this program interns will support client deliverables related to sponsorship and brand strategy, perform research for client proposals and industry trends, participate in day-to-day client and internal team communications, etc.

Interns within the program will work directly with the OVG Canada team in the Toronto corporate office.

The goal of the program is to broaden the exposure of _all_ disciplines to the possibilities of working at OVG - whether that is venue, HR, IT, Marketing, etc.

We want to give OVG interns a greater understanding of venue management through formal training along with real-life experiences in the field with their teams.

The program includes an International Association of Venue Management (IAVM) textbook, access to resources on the IAVM site, and roughly 8 training sessions led by experts in venue management.

Responsibilities:

Support all client deliverables related to sponsorship strategy and brand strategy
Support the development of strategic sponsorship evaluations and presentations
Perform research to help craft client proposals
Industry trend research (latest deals, spends, emerging brands, etc.)
Participate in daytoday client communication as needed
Maintain the pulse on industry trends and category developments
Best practices tracking and analysis
Brand and partner whitespace analysis
Marketing material creation (decks, imagery books, etc.)
Assist with administrative duties and office management

Qualifications:

College Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students
Proficient in Windows Environment with very strong Excel Skills required
Must be detailed oriented, organized and ability to meet deadlines
ADP Payroll processing/Reporting a plus but not required
