Job Details

Position Title:
Hospitality Receiving Technician, RPT Recurring

Status:
Regular part-time permanent

Hours:
up to 24 hours per week

Faculty/Department:
Longo Faculty of Business

Campus/Location:
North Campus

Pay Range:
EPEW - Band 5 ($23.84)

Schedule Conditions:
Start on the third week of August and end on the first week of May

What you will do:

The Hospitality Receiving Technician supports the service operations of the Receiving Department and Culinary/Baking Labs at Humber College.

Some key responsibilities would include:

Breakdown returned food wagons, check quality of products and discard any compromised food products
Conduct endofday reset for culinary/baking labs. Maintain par stocks of cleaning supplies, paper goods and food products on a daily basis.
Restocking equipment to ensure accurate par levels. Small wares inventory/control/organization.
Conduct equipment functionality quality check and followup with lab maintenance Coordinator for any deficiencies. Submit a work order, if required.
Deliver and pick up special equipment to and from lab/service area
Repair reporting and followup with lab Maintenance Coordinator
Assist with wagon building
Perform data entry into FoodTrak Software. Input invoices, and prepare costing reports.
Ensuring the receiving area is clean
Assist with receiving goods

What you bring to the role:

Education
Minimum one-year certificate in a Culinary Program or equivalent

Experience & Skills
One-year practical work experience related to the environment, which demonstrates knowledge of Health and Safety and Food safety regulations.

Basic office computing skills
