Job Details

Position Title:
Hospitality Receiving Technician, RPT Recurring


Status:
Regular part-time permanent


Hours:
up to 24 hours per week

Longo Faculty of Business


Campus/Location:
North Campus


Pay Range:
EPEW - Band 5 ($23.84)


Schedule Conditions:
Start on the third week of August and end on the first week of May


What you will do:

The Hospitality Receiving Technician supports the service operations of the Receiving Department and Culinary/Baking Labs at Humber College.


Some key responsibilities would include:

  • Breakdown returned food wagons, check quality of products and discard any compromised food products
  • Conduct endofday reset for culinary/baking labs. Maintain par stocks of cleaning supplies, paper goods and food products on a daily basis.
  • Restocking equipment to ensure accurate par levels. Small wares inventory/control/organization.
  • Conduct equipment functionality quality check and followup with lab maintenance Coordinator for any deficiencies. Submit a work order, if required.
  • Deliver and pick up special equipment to and from lab/service area
  • Repair reporting and followup with lab Maintenance Coordinator
  • Assist with wagon building
  • Perform data entry into FoodTrak Software. Input invoices, and prepare costing reports.
  • Ensuring the receiving area is clean
  • Assist with receiving goods

What you bring to the role:

Education
Minimum one-year certificate in a Culinary Program or equivalent


Experience & Skills
One-year practical work experience related to the environment, which demonstrates knowledge of Health and Safety and Food safety regulations.

  • Basic office computing skills
