- The Assistant Registrar, Academic Scheduling & Testing Services provides strategic leadership in the development, delivery, evaluation and re-engineering of academic space utilization and scheduling, including examinations and testing services.
- Reporting to the Director, Learning Space Management, the Assistant Registrar manages a cross-functional team of staff who provide expertise on testing, scheduling, exam invigilation, and room bookings.
- The role involves fostering positive relationships with academic units, scheduling communities, and campus partners.
- The Assistant Registrar champions service excellence, influences organizational culture, and fosters a cross-functional approach within the University Registrar's Office.
- Responsibilities include financial management of projects and grants, with direct oversight of a team of staff positions.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, or business preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years in a post-secondary setting.
- Experience in project management and interpreting academic policies.
- Specialized knowledge of relevant computer applications and information technology management practices.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams, with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in university student information systems and InfoSilem suite.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Studio, Tableau, and PowerBI.
- Expertise in systems analysis, relational databases, and data analysis.
- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships and foster teamwork, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated resilience, initiative, and flexibility under pressure.
- Strong understanding of student scheduling impact on the overall experience.
