REPORTS TO:

Manager, Information Technology

***: This position provides IT Support to the agency; support users by identifying problems and finding solutions related to network, servers, computer hardware, software and desktop.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide tier 2 support.
  • Support administration of Office 365, Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, Hyper-V/Cluster, AD, DCHP, DNS, GPO, IIS, RDP, SQL, and WSUS.
  • Maintain and support backup & recovery process using Veritas, include DR Backup/Veeam/Syncovery, or similar products.
  • Network Security (firewall, switch, Wi-Fi, VPN, certificates, patches/updates, Anti-Virus).
  • VoIP Phone setup and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze existing setup and recommend/implement improvements to systems to ensure stability, security, and added functionality.
  • Maintain and develop the intranet website (SharePoint Online).
  • Create and recommend changes to processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to provide generalized end‐user training.
  • Analyze data for reporting and/or performance (trend) analysis for the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of direct work experience in Microsoft enterprise environment with progressively increasing responsibilities.


  • Certifications preferred

  • Cisco CCNA, A+, Network +, Microsoft Certifications.
  • Knowledge of implementing, configuring, and administering networking equipment (firewall/switch/Wi-Fi) and Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, Windows 7/10.
  • Knowledge in system and network architecture, design, configuration, disaster recovery, business continuity, storage management, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation for internal IT use and enduser training purposes, and maintaining accurate records of system configurations and inventory.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and highly analytical aptitude.
  • A proven selfstarter requiring mínimal supervision, highly motivated and proactive.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all computerbased information related to the organization, its clients and its employees.
  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • High degree of initiative and problem solving with keen attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check.

SALARY:

IT Operations Specialist Salary Scale ($60, 000 - $70, 000 per annum) with Competitive Benefit Package (health & dental), Define Pension plan, and paid time off entitlements (starting at 20 vacation days & 3 float days)
