Position Overview

Responsibilities

Conducts maintenance tasks according to company environmental, health and safety practices and policies.
Tests equipment for proper performance and ensuring that all work done meets manufacturers specifications and legislated regulations.
Diagnoses various equipment faults or malfunctions.
Keeps equipment clean, lubricated and maintained.
Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies.
Writes service reports.

Qualifications

Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (or Third/Fourth Year Apprentice).
Canadian Vehicle Inspection Program License or the ability to obtain one would be considered an asset.
Class 5 Driver's License with a clean drivers abstract.
Basic computer knowledge/skills.
Dexterity the job is physically demanding.
Attention to detail and a focus on safety are constantly required.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

Salary:
$35.00-$40.00 per hour
