Manager, Internal Communications (12-month Maternity Leave Contract)

About you:
- You have led the development and execution of employee communications strategies within large, complex, global organizations
- You are passionate about writing and editing effective communications for employees
- You can identify distinct audiences, write messaging for each and recommend appropriate delivery tactics
- You are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, using your proven project management skills to maintain timelines, workback schedules, scope, and budget
- You are comfortable partnering with internal stakeholders across all departments and levels
- You are detailoriented; ensuring content accurately represents company tone and style and that business imperatives are clearly balanced with the needs and objectives of the client
- You are creative and enjoy working with designers, translators, external agencies and print/production companies to ensure the successful completion of communication initiatives
- You are comfortable in a fastpaced environment
Responsibilities
- Execute internal communications strategy to support the business, leaders, and employees
- Plan, edit, and write content, such as intranet stories, announcements, presentations, and more; moderate employeedriven internal communication channels
- Partner with internal teams to ensure organizational initiatives, supporting the company's strategic objectives, are successfully communicated to all stakeholders
- Work with business and HR leadership to ensure team members are engaged with, and understand, company strategy; make recommendations for improvement when required
- Support business leaders in planning for, rolling out, and communicating strategic direction, business performance and objectives, and corporate initiatives to all employees
- Advise senior executives of organizational developments, in person or through regular written communication
- Plan and execute senior leaders' quarterly Town Hall live streams
- Ensure communications messages are consistent across all platforms
- Develop and maintain the company intranet, internal TVs, and other platforms
- Handle internal response to crisis situations which may affect organizational reputation
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent
- Minimum of 58 years of experience leading internal communications for a multisite, global organization, preferably in an industrial or businesstobusiness setting
Competencies & Qualifications
- Ability to develop, collaborate on, and execute against communication plans (from assessing needs to formulating strategy, implementing tactics, and measuring results)
- Strong writing, editing, and production skills
- Ability to adapt style, tone, and complexity of writing to suit different formats and audiences
- Strong project, time management, and organizational skills the ability to manage priorities for multiple internal/external clients
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
- Strong PC knowledge, with advanced skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint
- Experience working with outside agencies, vendors, etc.
