As part of the Trillium project based in Ottawa, we are seeking a qualified Project Controls Intern to work as part of the project controls team, including assisting the Project Controls team in progress capture, schedule updates, quantities take - off and holobuilder progress tracking.


How will you contribute to the team?

  • Studies drawings and specifications issued to the field and reports to Project Controls Leads of any ambiguities, interferences or errors found on drawings, specifications and assigned work
  • Capture progress based on commodities on a daily basis and mark it in the relevant drawings
  • Take contemporary records (360 photos) and manage holobuilder database for each area
  • Prepare daily construction progress report for their area
  • Verifies the accuracy of surveys and dimensions established by contractors and assists in establishing and maintaining survey benchmarks
  • Performs any other duties that may be directed by the Project Controls Leads
  • Communicate any safety issues, regardless of the severity to Project Controls Leads.
  • Communicate data collection issues to Project Controls Leads.
  • Input cost, progress and procurement information in JDE as required.
  • Work alongside the project controls lead in Primavera P6

What will you contribute / requirements?

  • Knowledge of engineering design, architecture, or quantity surveying
  • Previous working experience in the Construction industry is an asset but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Available to travel to various projects sites within Ottawa
  • Valid driver's license (Class G)
