Position Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Corporate Registry, this position is responsible for the following:

  • Data entry of paper submissions for a wide variety of submission types under various pieces of legislation and associated regulations, including The Business Corporations Act, The Business Names Registration Act, The Non-Profit Corporations Act, 1995 and other various Acts.
  • Receive and/or record payment information and performs cash balance and reconciliation of payments received.
  • Fulfillment of customer requests for copies of historical documents on registered entities from archival records.
  • Creation of electronic images by scanning paper submissions received, either as part of a batch or on an ad hoc basis.
  • Composes written or verbal responses to customer submissions or inquires.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities are typically obtained through completing courses in business administration, office administration or other applicable postsecondary courses. A high school diploma is required at minimum, supplemented with three (3) years' experience in an office environment and customer support.
  • An understanding of basic accounting principles for account adjustments and cash handling procedures.
  • Familiarity of various types of office equipment, including scanners, photocopier and printers.
  • Familiarity and comfort working in a technology driven office environment.
  • Proven track record of strong customer service and support to internal and external customers
