  • NADG has raised, sponsored and participated in over $1.6 Billion of real estate funds and investment vehicles, utilizing investment criteria for core, opportunistic, land development, retail and multifamily development and NNN real estate projects._

POSITION:
Manager, Development Services

***:Reporting to the Director, Development Services, this position will assist and support the Development Services team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Site specific investigation for Redevelopment Potential
  • Prepare and compile due diligence materials including development lifecycle and schedule analysis, third party consultant reports, development budgets and market research as well as provide recommendation on development potential and feasibility
  • Track comparable and competing development activity across property types
  • Lead the full lifecycle of the development from acquisition to construction handover and liaise with the construction team to coordinate final inspections to release letter of credits.
  • Managing all planning approvals to ensure project is delivered within the approved project timeframe and budget.
  • Responsible for soliciting the services of the thirdparty consultants such as architects, engineers, and planners.
  • Manage and work well with the multidisciplined consultant team to develop the project design from schematic to working drawings.
  • Coordinating City meetings with City Staff and Councilors.
  • Leading and/or assisting in the creation of Project Update Reports for internal and external stakeholders that outline the full development strategy for the project.
  • Managing development budgets and coordinate with the internal accounting and finance teams to update proformas and ensure the ongoing health of projects
  • Work with the leasing team to establish development and construction timelines, review and understand lease restrictions on redevelopment properties, and receive approvals to permit tenants
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the development process in Ontario and an uptodate understanding of all Provincial and local policy framework changes, with the ability to inform the business as needed
  • Mentoring and managing team members

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A degree in Urban Planning or Urban Design.
  • 4 + years' experience in Development Services and/or Urban Planning/Design.
  • Project Management experience is a requirement.
  • Previous experience coaching more junior staff is an asset.
  • Real Estate Development experience in planning approval and design
  • Proficient in

Microsoft Office:
Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Proficient in
SketchUp or program equivalent is an asset.

  • Willingness to learn and grow with a team.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills to multitask/prioritize and work under tight timelines.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy and excellent followup skills.
  • Ability to work and act independently using good judgment when assessing difficult situations.
  • Selfmotivated individual who is proactive and takes initiative.
  • A professional demeanor coupled with strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent problemsolving capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
