The Opportunity
This position works out of our Mississauga location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. The HCP Brand Manager - Specialists is responsible for developing, executing and tracking all marketing plans targeted to specialists/endocrinologists.

This includes omni-channel marketing such as digital, social and print, and all programs, tools and materials for the sales team.

We're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.

We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.


What You'll Do
Financial Planning and Reporting

  • Provide monthly analysis of key programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of ADC Plan and Update cycles.
Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Development of annual Marketing Plan for area of responsibility
  • Assist with annual ADC marketing plan as required.
  • Identify and develop any and all programs and tactics required to achieve financial objectives.
  • Manage various external agencies to deliver marketing programs and promotional materials ontime and onbudget.
  • Effectively work with Salesteam to ensure successful implementation and execution of programs and tactics.
Market Research

  • Assist in identification and analysis of HCP market research needs.
  • Analysis and interpretation of market data and insights (IMS, RxDynamics, other external and internal reports).
New Product Launches

  • Support product management team with as needed with product launches.
New & Existing Channel Development

  • Traditional HCP channel (specialists/endocrinologists)
  • Remote detailing, digital and social media channels

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, diagnostics or diabetes
  • 35 years pharmaceutical, diagnostics or diabetes
  • This person should be an experienced marketer with a proven track record in developing marketing plans that deliver on financial objectives. They should have a working knowledge of the Canadian diabetes and healthcare markets and the ability to effectively interface with the sales team, external and internal customers. In addition, they must possess the ability to anticipate market changes, input on product strategy and develop and implement marketing programs that drive business objectives. Last, they will have strong administrative and communication skills a proven ability to meet project deadlines.
