Job Summary:


The Change Management Advisor works with teams consisting of people from inside the Agencies, from other government organizations, and from outside the organization; and focuses on maintaining the culture while at the same time promoting change.

The incumbent leads the efforts of project teams focusing on the people side of change and on changes to business processes, systems and technology.

The Change Management Advisor ensures projects meet objectives by increasing employee adoption and usage.

The position is responsible for developing change management strategies for stakeholders, for increasing awareness, and for collaborating with solution champions.


Statement of Qualifications:


Education:


Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in information technology, information management, project management, public or business administration, or in any other field relevant to the position, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.


Asset:
PROCI Certification, Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)


Experience:

Experience in consulting and engaging internal and external stakeholders at the on-set of a project (provide coaching to the Projet Lead or Business Owner)Experience developing short and long term project and change management strategies and tactics
Experience conducting impact analysis and assess change readiness
Experience in developing and presenting change management strategies and presentations to groups and business leaders
Experience planning, organizing and managing change
Experience establishing and maintaining strong relationships; and working collaboratively with and through others
Experience conducting impact analyses and assessing change readiness


Knowledge:

Knowledge of communication principles, techniques and skills, both written and verbal;
Knowledge of change management methodologies, strategies, techniques and principles;
Knowledge of training design and delivery methodologies, techniques and principles;
Knowledge of interpersonal techniques and skills to establish and maintain strong relationships
Knowledge of information technology (IT) project management processes.


Competencies:

Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
Collaborates and works with clients in building partnerships
Conflict management (resolving conflict)
Planning the work and organizing resources;
Problem solving and solution based approach - consensus building
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
