Shipper/Receiver to join their team


Are you a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast paced and physically demanding role? With attention to detail and a drive for high performance, you will monitor and prioritize time sensitive orders while meeting daily standards in performing a variety of different functions.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensure all parts, products, and materials, are shipped and received while performing general warehouse duties
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, completing all tasks and functions accurately and in a safe manner
  • Prepare shipments for delivery by affixing identifying information and shipping instructions, inspecting products against work orders
  • Pack items as per procedures ensuring products loaded are properly protected
  • Wrap palletized shipments, store and organize multiple orders in preparation for carrier pickups
  • Load and offload products, materials, and supplies as per shipping and receiving procedures
  • Identify items received and verify for accuracy and quantity against packing slip
  • Inspect all shipments received for damage, and reject damaged products as needed
  • Count and organize multipiece shipments and store products in their designated locations
  • Optimize storage space through product consolidation
  • Report any issues which may impede on shipping accuracy or any discrepancies between packing slips and actual inbound and escalate accordingly
  • Maintain all product levels, supplies, equipment, etc. and ensure warehouse is clean and organized.
To be successful in this role, you will possess,

  • 1 to 3 years of previous shipping or receiving experience and basic knowledge of packing while working in a warehouse environment
  • Experience using a forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse management techniques and software
  • Knowledgeable on inventory management best practices
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess a situation and problemsolve accordingly
  • Work well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines.
As a warehouse environment, the position involves,

  • Bending, lifting, pulling, and stretching required throughout day; moving product throughout the warehouse; hands on role with ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting objects up to 50lbs
  • Moderately highpressure environment with a varied pace of work depending on the season
  • Teambased and friendly environment; must be able to build rapport easily with team.
